TrueFoot 1.1 — FC 27 Realism Gameplay Mod: Tuning Pack
The gameplay mod is on FC 27. It starts where this mod has always started: weight. Heavier movement, a slower ball, and a CPU that builds up like a real team.
The first FC 27 build went out as the base mod on its own. 1.1 adds what was missing: the Tuning Pack, ready-made presets and the Motion add-ons, all in the same download.
Before you install: you need FIFA Mod Manager 2.2.0 or newer and, if you use it, TrueFoot Hub 1.7.0 or newer. An older Mod Manager is the first thing to check if the mod doesn’t apply.
Settings
The FC 27 settings are not the same as FC 26. Check these first:
- Gameplay Type Custom with Authenticity Features On
- Gameplay sliders at 50
- In Career Mode, set the CPU sliders to Custom at 50. The Tactical preset pushes some CPU sliders, long shots among them, to the top and overrides the balance of the mod
The base mod
Weight and tempo
- Sprint and acceleration were lowered and turns carry more weight
- Animations were set to commit longer, so a touch or a turn should cost you something
- Foot planting was tuned to match the slower speeds
- Fatigue should start to show in movement late in a match
The ball
- Pass and shot speeds were lowered across every type, so the ball has to be played into space instead of fired
- Lob arcs were retuned so lofted balls travel instead of hanging
- Ball bounce, weight and spin were tuned
- Crosses were slowed and curl a little less
The CPU in possession
- Build-up was tuned for more patience and more care with the ball under pressure
- Players should come short more often and answer when a teammate calls for the ball
- You should see more triangles and one twos in midfield
- Forwards were set to stay high and make diagonal runs in behind
- How hard the CPU pushes was tied to the score and the time left
- It should shoot inside the box instead of walking it in, and try from distance when there is space
Defending and shape
- The CPU was tuned to read passing lanes and recover into shape
- Fullbacks were tuned to hold their zone and stay off the touchline
- Centre backs and the holding midfielder were given more realistic depth
- A high defensive line was pulled back from sitting on halfway
Physical play
- Shoulder duels were made longer and heavier
- Shirt pulls and off-balance dribbling after contact should show up more
- Slide tackles were tuned so a clean slide is not automatically a foul
- Referee strictness stays at the game’s own level, so cards should come from the challenge
New in 1.1
Base build
- The touch while running with the ball and the distance you meet a pass at were tuned, so the ball should sit a bit closer
- The dribbling error curves were reworked
- The midfield line and how far midfielders step up to the ball were adjusted
- A high defensive line should settle back more when it is attacked
- Keepers were taken back to the game’s own keeper in the base mod. The Goalkeeping options in the Tuning Pack bring the TrueFoot keeper back, with a choice of how far he comes out and how he handles saves
Motion add-ons
The base is the heaviest, calmest tempo. If you want more pace, add one of these below the base mod:
- Motion: sprint, acceleration and jog speeds a third of the way back to the game, turns and foot planting a little lighter. Still heavier than the game
- Motion+: a step quicker, speeds and turns most of the way back to the game while keeping some of the mod’s weight
Use one or neither, not both.
Tuning Pack
38 options in 22 families: movement, ball pace and assists, passing, first touch, dribble and shot errors, attacking runs, CPU attack and defense, fouls, physicality, step-up, difficulty, goalkeeping and fullback support. Pick one variant per family and add them one at a time, so you can tell what changed.
Presets
Six presets merge several options into one file: Creative CPU, FUMA, Hardest CPU, Lighter Feel, Physical Battle and Pure Simulation. Don’t add a separate option from a family a preset already covers, and don’t stack two presets that share a family.
Load order
In FIFA Mod Manager the mod lower in the list wins. The base mod stays first, and Motion, Tuning Pack options and presets all go below it. TrueFoot Hub sets this order for you.
Get it
Sign in with Patreon on the download page, open the FC 27 tab, pick the Gameplay Mod and press Download. TrueFoot Hub is the easiest route: it installs the mod for you. Full steps are in the FC 27 setup guide.
A paid tier on Patreon gets new builds first and keeps the options that stay supporter-only. The base gameplay mod goes free for everyone once the early access window closes, and the Motion add-ons come with it in the free package.
Tell me how it plays
This is still early for FC 27, so feedback shapes the next builds directly. Short clips help most. Include your difficulty, sliders, game mode and whether Authenticity Features is on. I’m looking hardest at tempo, how the CPU builds up, defensive line height, long shots and foul counts.
Drop it in the Discord or in the comments under the video on YouTube.
